NY Visit, Seeing the old neighborhood

Since Anthony grew up in New York, we decided to take a driving tour and see some of the places he has childhood memories of. We started in Yonkers where he attended grade school at sacred heart, then onto the Bronx. Next was New Rochelle to see where he grandparents lived and then grabbed lunch at Walter's hot dogs where he and his grandpa "pops" use to grab a dog and sit on the hill to eat. We then went onto Mamaroneck to see a memorial built in his great uncles honor who died in the line of duty as a firefighter. I loved seeing all the places he has mentioned in his stories!

Visiting White Plains, New York

Anthony is from White Plains, NY. His father Tony, stepmom Linda, and other family still live there. Last week we flew to NY for a wedding and spend some time with family.
We had a fabulous time! We stayed with Tony and Linda, and with their 2 loving poodles Sofie and Sarah!! They have a beautiful and comfortable home that is decorated with Tony's art. He paints landscapes that are displayed throughout the house.
On Friday night they hosted a BBQ at their home and invited over all the family. I was so excited to see all if the family I had met before, and meet so many new people too.

Mason's Baby Shower

Anthony and I are expecting baby Mason in September. Our Tampa family hosted a baby shower for us last weekend. It was beautiful! Lots of little touches: with mason jars, fresh flowers, delicious food and sweet baby decor. Thank you to Aunt Sheri, my sister Chris and Aunt Debbie!

I had a check up appointment this week, to see how Baby Mason is coming along. He is 27 weeks this week, and will be starting the third trimester in a few days.
The most recent ultrasound shows a side profile of his face. He has chubby cheeks, long eyelashes, and full lips. It's amazing to be able to see his tiny features!
Less than 3 months to go!

Oh the Cribs We Build!

To prepare for the arrival of Baby Mason, we decided to purchase and build a crib for him! We still have a few months to go, but are getting so excited that we couldn't wait any longer to start the nursery.

Anthony actually built the crib, I just read the directions and assisted him :)
It turned out perfect!

He's an Engineer!!

Tonight is Anthony's first night as a Driver/Engineer for the Tallahassee Fire Department! He is very excited about his new promotion, and I am VERY proud!

We are 6 months pregnant!

I can't believe we are already 6 months along in our pregnancy!! Just a few more weeks and we will be in the third trimester. We are so blessed and can't wait to meet our little man!
