Jacksonville Zoo

On Sunday we went to the Jacksonville zoo before heading home to Tallahassee.

Watching the otters

Mason loved these giant fish

Mason's favorite thing at the zoo was the carousel. We went at least 10 times!

Hot and tired waiting for the train back to the car.

You know it was a good day when everyone falls asleep on the way home.

What a fun weekend!

Jacksonville Beach Weekend

This past weekend we went to Jacksonville Beach. We took Jasmine and Poppi with us and had a great time!

Having a snack after swimming out to the sand bar

Anthony's nephew Poppi wanted to be buried in the sand, so we all dug a big hole and then covered him up!

Mason's 1st day of school

Mason started school today. He is attending a school called the Growing Room, which has infants to kindergarten.

He was very excited, all dressed and ready with his bag packed. When I asked if he was ready for school he would say "yeah"!

Walking into school with Dad.

Mason's classroom

Once we got Mason settled in his class, we hung out in the parent lounge. They serve coffee, muffins and have a tv where you can watch your child in their class. We stayed for a long time watching, trying to make sure Mason was adjusting.

In his class, there are 11 toddlers ranging from 18-24 months. Ms. Sabrina is his teacher and Ms. Katherine is his teacher's aid. Mason ate breakfast, participated in circle time and loved his lunch!! He ate 3 whole servings! After lunch he took a 40 minute nap on his cot, I couldn't believe it!  He seemed to favor Ms. Katherine , he followed her everywhere, she was very sweet and welcoming when he had sad moments.

Mason's big green truck

My Dad bought Mason a John Deere truck for Lake Talquin, with the idea that Mason can help Grandma with yard work......  Haha!

Getting instructions on how to operate the truck

Mason looking for the gas pedal

He learned very quickly how to step on the gas pedal to make it go.. We are still practicing the steering. Good thing he has a big yard to practice in.

Mason driving to the burn pile with all the sticks and moss from the yard.

What a fun toy! Thanks Grandpa!
